Tiny Crocheted Hearts

By Lorraine

Quick and easy, tiny crocheted hearts can be used to embellish crafts and greeting cards for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Birthday gifts.
Thinking ahead to Valentine’s Day, I made a couple of cards with Tiny Crocheted Hearts, snips and pieces of paper and lace from my craft cabinet. I am not a scrapbook-er or card maker so I just added a little here and a little there.

There are affiliate links in this post.

This white card highlights textures. I attached a fabric-like, crinkled paper over card stock.  Then glued satin ribbon, lace and beads vertically and added a tiny pink heart. I thought about adding ‘I Love You’ on the horizontal ribbon but the pens that I tried tended to bleed too much.  Here is what I was hoping for:

I made a card in neutral tones. After layering several coordinating papers, I  glued snippets of ecru lace and paper embellishments for a horizontal  card.

My favorite element is the sweet crocheted hearts.

I have a couple of patterns in my crochet binder and there are many free patterns available on the internet. Most are similar and easy to follow. I saw these tiny little hearts on 4:53am blog.  Below is a video created by lovely blog called Little Birdie Secrets.
I used embroidery floss and a tiny hook to make mine and followed Little Birdie Secrets instructions.  The hearts can be made larger by using heavier yarn and a bigger hook in whatever color you want.

You show the loveliest crafts on your blog. The hearts are adorable. I don't crochet, or I'd be all over it!

oh pretty cards. I love them both, the second one really caught my eye. Those tiny hearts are adorable and I can't imagine that they would take very long to make either. Although since it's been quite some time since I've picked up a crochet hook I might need a refresher…lol

The cards are beautiful! I always love the soft color tones you use. The tiny hearts are the perfect touch. I'm going to watch that video (again – thanks for reminding me of it) and figure out how to make some. They're so sweet!
