Turkey Waldorf Salad is such an easy meal and full of good-for-you ingredients like apples, grapes and nuts. No wonder it is a long-time classic recipe. Use leftover roasted turkey or cooked chicken and enjoy piled on crescent rolls, croissants, bread or serve on a bed of lettuce greens for lunch or dinner. Use leftover roasted turkey or cooked chicken and enjoy piled on crescent rolls, croissants, bread or serve on a bed of lettuce greens for lunch or dinner. Using thawed, leftover turkey breast from the freezer, Waldorf salad was a quick meal requiring just the chopping of the other ingredients. If you don’t have leftover turkey or chicken, you can use rotisserie chicken from the grocery store or gently poach or bake chicken breast and allow to cool.

Toss in toasted pecans, or walnuts as the original recipe calls for. I like walnuts but my husband doesn’t. We compromise 😉
