A cozy moment… a fleeting moment. The time of day when the room is full of streaming side lighting… then suddenly someone remarks,
“Why is it so dark in here?”
“Why is it so dark in here?”

The soft, natural light is just enough before the light switch will be turned on and the ambiance gone.

Oh oh. Who said the shadow shots are supposed to tell a story?? I hope I don't get in trouble for not being deep enough. Yikes!
Your shots are very nice…and with a story too! Happy Valentine's Day and SSS too.
This shadow shot is beautiful ~ as is your dining room! The lacey shadows are so pretty. I love the thought of this being the transitioning part of your day ~ it looks peaceful & calm…I hope that's what it is for you!
I really like the pattern created by the lace curtain. Beautiful!
Great photos. They let your mind wander…

Both are great but the 1st one is really special!!
All your photos are wonderful but that first one is just fantastic.
I love your dining room ..you have great taste..I love vintage/country decorations! what a great post!
Beautiful picture! Enjoy your weekend!
p.s. forgot to say, I LOVE 'cozy' too.
You caught this perfectly….such a tranquil time of day that you wish would stay longer. About the Reader's Digest article…well, its the issue just out so I was sure they wouldn't have the article about the chaplain online yet…thats why no link. But~~I made two of your Folded German paper stars….hurray for me & hubby! When I make a couple more I'll post a picture if my pc will let me. Thank you for the tutorial. I got off to a wrong start in the first 4 steps…but we got the hang of it after I realized what I did wrong. Now I'm a proud and happy camper…smile. Thanks to you!
What lovely pictures. The little one's dish and cup conjure up a little story of their own.
