Easy DIY Champagne and flutes holiday gift makes a lovely friend or hostess gift. It takes just a few minutes and looks so festive. Ideal for welcoming the New Year or celebrating a birthday, anniversary, new job, new house or any special occasion.More than a year ago, our neighbor dropped off this bottle of champagne. Not only was the gesture a kind one, but I thought the gift looked unique and fun. Wanting to recreate the same presentation, but unsure how to, I didn’t open the bottle. Finally, I asked Andria if she would show me just what she did. She came by that evening and took less than a three minutes to help me through the steps. Pretty amazing that something so easy can look so festive.

Of course, it would be perfect for ringing in the New Year but think of all the other occasions to share. Celebrating a birthday, anniversary, new job, a promotion, new house or as a thank you, are just a few reasons.

DIRECTIONS:

Ideal for welcoming the New Year or celebrating a birthday, anniversary, new job, new house or any special occasion.Since I didn’t photograph the steps as I made this project with the champagne and fancy flutes, I had to search for something else to demonstrate the how-to. Sparkling grape juice and a pair of vintage glasses from the china cabinet to the rescue. Just remember, long stem flutes work and look the best.

Ideal for welcoming the New Year or celebrating a birthday, anniversary, new job, new house or any special occasion.Cut a piece of tulle about 9-feet long. Fold it in half to find the center and wrap it tightly around to neck of the bottle several times. There isn’t one way to do this, you just want to securely anchor the glasses to the bottle.

Be sure to use both pieces of the tulle so one side doesn’t get shorter than the other.

Ideal for welcoming the New Year or celebrating a birthday, anniversary, new job, new house or any special occasion.Keeping the tulle taught, position the second glass in the same manner, wrapping and securing with the tulle over and around the stem and bottle neck. It helps to have two pair of hands to accomplish this but I did it by myself without mishap. Tie once again with a square knot (right over left and left over right)
