Thanksgiving tablescape

By Lorraine

Flowers add a festive touch to your Thanksgiving table. Lovely autumn colors with a hurricane globe & candles creates an elegant tablescape.
Receiving beautiful flowers is almost as fun as gifting them to family and loved ones. Thanksgiving is such a lovely occasion for such thoughtfulness. The beautiful flowers add an understated elegance creating an inviting Thanksgiving tablescape.

I was delighted when contacted by FTD to receive a bouquet from their Thanksgiving collection.

The sparkle of candlelight

I like the way candles add sparkle to a set table so I choose one featuring a glass hurricane globe with a tapered candle in the center.

I don’t have a special set of china for holidays and depend on my everyday dishes for all occasions.  Fresh flowers define the Thanksgiving theme while using linens, stemware, candles and flatware that I already have on hand.

Family and friends gathered around the table is a blessing I am most grateful for. Whether yours is a small or large gathering or whether you are hosting dinner at your home or a guest at another table, flowers add a festive touch.
One thing I suggest is that you be specific with your FTD florist when ordering as to the substitutions they might need to make in your bouquet. Because of local availability and desire to provide on-time delivery, changes in color or style might be made. My centerpiece, though very beautiful, was significantly different in color than I expected. When I mentioned it to a representative, it was handled gracefully and with understanding.
Wishing all your Thanksgiving preparations and travel plans are going well, my friends!

Your flowers are beautiful! And your table is so inviting. We are going to have a very small celebration this year with just my dear, little mother. She's not able to handle the big celebrations of the past so we are planning a quiet time just with her. My table will be set and I think I might need to buy a fresh flower arrangement to make it special! Happy Thanksgiving, my friend.
