Easter Crochet

By Lorraine

Sweet crochet Easter eggs are easy to make and lovely holiday decorations. Collection of FREE patterns, some vintage, to fill a basket with keepsakes to enjoy for generations. Tutorials include a chocolate diorama egg, an egg that opens for filling and then tied closed. Sharing with you a few easy but sweet Easter crochet projects. I first started crocheting these Easter eggs with my mom w.a.y back in 1978. We had recently moved hundreds of miles from home, experiencing one of the snowiest years ever and learned we were expecting our first baby. My mom flew out to visit and to pass the time stuck inside, we crocheted. I have a large basket full of eggs from our time together and continued to make more through the years. These eggs will always remain special to me.

Just click the link below each photo to go to the post with the pattern.

Crochet Diorama Egg

Using dark brown yarn for “chocolate” and “white” for frosting, I created a diorama egg so like the ones that filled my childhood Easter basket. A little embroidery is similar to the edible decorated eggs.

Little stick cross

Not a crochet project but so perfect for Easter. The little cross, made from twigs, appears each year as a cake topper. I love its humble simplicity declaring the gospel.
Make a humble little wooden cross from sticks gathered from your yard. Attach a tag with the bible verse from Luke 2:11, "a Savior has been born to you", as you celebrate Easter and Christmas. It is a sweet and easy holiday craft to make for kids.

The crochet Ester eggs are simply adorable and unique, specially because they hold memories of your pregnancy with your first baby, no less! A basket full, wow sweet friend; at least is child proof, lol..
Thank you for your kind visit and I do hope you are very blessed by the Lord this Easter Season and always.

A basket full – what a lovely treat for the little ones, as they are eggs that can take some handling. Happy Easter!
