Frozen Princess Anna Hat Cape & Mitts

By Lorraine

Little girls love Disney and they love dress-up. Crochet this sweet FROZEN Princess Anna Hat, Cape & Mitts. Pattern for mitts in post with links for cape and hat.
Cambrie Noelle celebrated a birthday! She just turned 5 years old! A couple of weeks ago, she sat with me as we searched on my phone for an Anna hat from the popular Disney movie, FROZEN. This hat is the one she chose. I surprised her with her own Frozen Princess Anna Hat Cape & Mitts.

She was so excited about her birthday gifts!

Cambrie’s friends came by for breakfast that included snowman-shaped pancakes, French Toast, egg casserole and juice!
Then it was time to decorate a gingerbread village.

These little ones worked diligently adding candy to their houses.

It was so tempting to eat the colorful candy.

Time for cake

For Cambrie’s Anna ensemble, I used three different patterns.

The hat is a free pattern that is the sweetest I have found. Laura from Over the Apple Tree blog shares her easy-to follow pattern HERE. Or, if you prefer, you can purchase a finished hat from her etsy shop.

The pattern for this adorable cape was purchased from Lily’s etsy shop, Sealed with a Kiss. I added a flower and leaves to match the hat.

I designed a pair of hand warmer mitts to complete the set. Here is what I did:

FROZEN ANNA HAND WARMERS

(Fits a five year old. I measured Cambrie’s hand around the knuckles and palm. It measured 5 1/2-inches. If your child’s hand is larger, try making the beginning chain longer and add additional rows)

Vanna’s Choice worsted weight yarn
crochet hook size H

With the color number 1 (Purple) Chain 22

hdc in each stitch across, ch 2, turn (21)

Repeat until piece measures about 3 1/2 inches long (mine measured 3 3/4-inches)

Change to color number 2 (black). Repeat two more rows.

Last row: change to 3rd color (blue). Ch 1 turn. *3 dc’s in first stitch, skip next stitch, sc in next stitch, skip next stitch, repeat from* 3 dc in next stitch, sc in the last stitch; end off.

Fold in half and slip stitch with crochet hook (or stitch with matching yarn and a needle) leaving an opening for thumb.  (I left the two rows below the black open)Knot ends and trim.
If desired, add flower and French Knot.

She is sweet and you must be the best Grandmother ever! She must have been thrilled!

The vintage clip art you admired on my blog is from a CD I bought about 5 years ago. I never get tired of vintage…not sure why! Its just artistic and so charming. Merry Christmas!
