Baby Sock Corsage

SUPPLIES

  • 3 pair Baby socks
  • large eye needle 24-inch piece of yarn
  • stem of greenery
  • a few snips of fresh or faux baby’s breath (Gypsophila)
  • Corsage pin or medium sized safety pin

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Lift the sock cuff and flatten the sock.

Beginning at the toe edge, softly roll to the top of the sock. The roll doesn’t need to be tight.

Take the top edge of the sock and turn it over onto the roll.

Fiddle a little until you have your desired flower shape. You can gently pull the center to form a longer bud or smush it a little for a flatter blossom. 

 Continue until you have created all of the rosebuds you need.

Sewing the rosebuds together

Thread a large eye needle with a length of yarn about 24-inches long. Stitch through the bottom on the first rosebud sock.

Add the next rosebud with a few more stitches and then add the third.

Using a set of faux flower leaves, anchor them securely behind the rosebud cluster with the same length of yarn.

Using a medium size safety pin or a corsage pin, sew in place with the yarn. Knot and cut the end.

    So so cute. I have never seen them made as a corsage before. I have used them on Diaper Cakes which are always a big hit, too. Love this idea of the corsage though! xo Diana
