Happy 3rd Birthday, Cambrie Noelle

By Lorraine

Cambrie LOVES Minnie Mouse!
So for her Birthday I made her a hat.

The pattern is from Repeat Crafter Me
this little 3-year old sweetie melts my heart

peeking in the window
It was a rainy, chilly afternoon when Jared and I met Jamie and the kids at the Pop Shop
to celebrate Cambrie’s birthday in the quaint town of Collingswood, New Jersey.
A few years ago, Bobby Flay arrived at the Pop Shop for a Grilled Cheese Throwdown.

big bowls of ice-cream made everyone happy

and there might have been some noisy children too…

even in the rain the streets were beautiful

~*~

When Ella stopped coming for childcare back in September, I told her I would take her to our church’s Living Nativity.  So, that is what we did Saturday night. I told her afterward we could go to Friendly’s for dinner and ice-cream sundaes.  Much to my surprise, she wanted to head back to my house where we spent a couple of hours playing together in the nursery,  She made me lots of plates of play food, played dress-up and read an American Girl magazine to me.

Yes ma'am…..it appears that I am late to this party but I just ran across this pattern and my 3 yr old niece LOVES Minnie. I followed the like to Repeat Crafter Me. However your hat looks like it has a rim at the bottom which I like that look. Can you please tell me how you did this? Thank you and have a very blessed new year!

The little hats are so cute! The pictures of the little ones are even cuter! What joy and fun you add to their lives, and the memories you are creating for them will stay with them for life.

The pictures of you show you too young looking to be a grandma to all of the children.

Love the sweet hat you made for Cambrie!! Looks like she had a very happy birthday already, so I'll just wish her a wonderful year ahead, and many happy returns!! In the meantime, I know a little girl in my own family who might like a hat like this. If I can squeeze the time in to make one, I will! ~tina

Looks like a fun party! I love the Minnie hat….it's almost as cute as all those sweet grandchildren!

How special to spend some time with Ella, and how sweet that she chose your home over Friendly's.

So darling! The hat, yes, but more so the sweet little girl wearing it! It looks like such a happy celebration!

I know that Ella had a wonderful time hanging with you. After all, time with you was better than Friendly's which says a lot. 🙂

Your hat is beautiful, Lorraine I adore the colors. Wishing Cambrie Happy Birthday, the photo of them looking through the window is priceless. I so enjoy walking in our downtown area during the holidays!

Ella is smart, having fun with grandma is much better that a restaurant, especially when her grandmother is such a wonderful chef! not to mention playmate~smile~
Thanks for sharing these wonderful memories.

What a darling hat for a precious, little girl! I'm making hats for all of my grandkids as part of their Christmas this year. I can't share them on my blog until after Christmas or it might give away the secret! I'm making fashion hats for the girls and hats for the boy's favorite sports team from a local university. Your evening with Ella sounds wonderful. What a treat to have her choose to be at your home instead of out to eat!
