Making a Fort

By Lorraine

Two school snow days in a row.
How does an eighteen year old… and a three year old and a dog alleviate boredom?
Why, you build a fort in the family room using all of the blankets in the linen closet and all of the chairs from the dining room and most of the pillows from the beds.
Of course!
I like to believe Abbey was mainly doing this for Ella’s enjoyment…
but I’m not sure who had more fun.

What could be more fun than that!??

I remember when my husband and I and our 3 children would use the 2 floors of our house and play hide and seek with only a small light on somewhere inconspicuous and it was delightful :o)

it's been a long time since I've had blanket forts constructed in my house. I do remember how much fun the kids always had though.

I so love this….it brought back memories of my own youth, raising my kids and even times when I did some babysitting for friends on winter days.

    Love it.

Blanket forts ~ what a perfect way to spend a snow day! You're right, it's hard to tell who's having more fun. I'm thinking it might be Abbey! : )
