Minion Headband for Jethro

By Lorraine

Adorable and easy knitted headband FREE pattern with crocheted eye keeps those little ears warm in a fun way. When I gave all my granddaughters their knitted headbands, Jethro was disappointed he didn’t get one. He wanted a yellow headband. So I had to come up with something a little more boyish just for him.  This adorable and easy knitted headband with crocheted eye keeps his little ears warm in a fun way.

Just like all the other kiddos, Jet loves Minions. And Minions are yellow.

yes, Jet is as sweet as he looks {heart}

My daughter brought home a bag of clothes from a friend and I pulled out this gray sweater. When I wore it to Jamie’s, she said, “You look like Gru!”
“Who’s Gru?” I asked.  haha… she was right! Despicable Me

How to make Minion ear warmers

Here’s what I did to make a yellow headband/ear warmer for Jet in case you know a little person who might like one…

Knitted Minion Ear Warmer Pattern

Yarn: Yarn: Loops & Threads Impeccable Color: Butterscotch
Other color needed for headband: black
Knitting Needles: 8
In Yellow, Cast on 62
  • ROW 1: K2 P2
  • ROW 2: P2 K2
  • ROW 3-6 Repeats Row 1-2
  • Switch to Black Yarn
  • ROW 7-10: Continue repeating Row 1-2
  • Switch back to yellow yarn
  • Row 11-16 Continue repeating Row 1-2
  • Bind off, leaving a length of yarn to sew short sides together.  Knot and weave in ends
There are lots of patterns available on the internet for crocheting Minions eyes. I used this one found here: KnottyKnotty.blogspot.com
After making the eye, I used a length of yarn to attach it to the headband. With a length of black yarn, I stitched a small mouth. If you don’t want the mouth, just don’t add it.
