Refinished Half-Circle Table

By Lorraine

Remember this little table in need of a makeover? The one my husband got for $5.00 at a garage sale? A little sanding… a little stain… and a few coats of urethane and… a lovely refinished half-circle table.

a very pretty piece just perfect by the front door. I am not sure what the wood is but it is a beautiful shade of reddish brown.

This sweet dresser/desk/vanity was sitting in my sisters garage as a cast off that nobody wanted. I saw it from a distance and thought it would be cute painted. She graciously gave it to me and I loaded it into my car trunk. On closer examination, I found it to be in such great shape just as it was and thought of the perfect place for it in my dining room as a sideboard with storage to boot! Now I have to find some pretty aqua drawer liner to match the rest of the room so I can fill it with crisp white linens and special serving pieces.

These hands have been most busy this week. I have repainted the living room, the upstairs hallway and stripped the wallpaper from the main bathroom (used by Abbey and house guests) and repainted it. All of these projects cost a total of $23.00 as I used paint and supplies from previous projects. I have a few details to finish and then I will post pictures…

I am so happy you found a use for that desk! It looks great there as opposed to our garage as my mom attempts to downsize- it looks wonderful and I love the finish on the side table!

Miss you + love you! I can't wait to see the new painting as well.
