Easy recipe for Chocolate Cookies with Minty Chips. These chocolaty cookies with dark chocolate and mint chips are perfect any time of year but especially nice for St Patrick's Day celebrating.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! It is more white here than green with snow we received overnight and today. So, I made a batch of Chocolate Cookies with Minty Chips, chocolaty cookies with dark chocolate and mint chips. My family gave them a thumbs up!

Surprise!

Jamie had her sonogram yesterday.
But, even she didn’t know the gender of the precious baby soon to join their family.

But I knew!
As planned, the technician kept it secret. She handed me the photo revealing the special news as we left.  
For a fun way to announce the news to her family, I made a cake for them with the answer inside.
Since Jamie and her family are spending a week down the shore (she came back up just for the appointment), I had to prepare two cakes and give her the right cake to take with her.

She sent me these photos of the reveal…

my adorable Jamie… just a little… hesitant… to tell us… she is… expecting… again… baby number… seven… and this time she isn’t having twin sister, Jill share the news for her…  so, she… casually… mentions it… during a text conversation about nothing in particular…

Star Sugar Cookies following this recipe
Piped Frosting in white, pink and blue 
Frosting used for cake:
FROSTING
PRINT RECIPE
1 cup shortening
1 cup butter, softened
1 pkg confectioners’ sugar (2 pounds)
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 to 5 tablespoons water
In large bowl, cream shortening and butter until light and
fluffy. Gradually add confectioners’ sugar and vanilla; beat until
smooth. Add enough water to achieve a spreadable consistency.

Ranger Cookies for Back-to-School

White Chocolate Cherry Shortbread

I am getting together with three of my dearest friends for a small Christmas Cookie Exchange.
Wanting to try a recipe I had in my file for a few years I finally made these pretty little cookies.
White Chocolate Cherry Shortbread are tiny in size yet are BIG on flavor. Each cookie measures just over 1.5-inches but could easily be made larger by rolling bigger balls.

Toll House Cookies

Our forever go-to recipe when we’re in the mood for a
chocolate chip cookie.
I’m a fancy kind of cookie girl.
Not my family.
They want chocolate chip.
Slightly crispy on the outside ~ soft on the inside.
They’re fussy about their chocolate chip cookies!

Original NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Chocolate Chip Cookies

INGREDIENTS:
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
1 cup chopped nuts

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 375° F.

COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

BAKE for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

* May be stored in refrigerator for up to 1 week or in freezer for up to 8 weeks.
