Jamie picked me up and took me to dinner Mother’s Day night
With her six children and one on the way, we seldom have uninterrupted conversations
we ate too much
she told me I have an addiction to sugar/sweets (I think she’s right)
she gave me a chocolate candy bar that I ate on the spot
we talked till the restaurant was nearly empty
i loved every minute spending time with her
thank you, jamie!
for all of my children…

I’ll like you for always,
As long as I’m living,
my baby you’ll be.”

My Country
I love the 4th of July and I love my country.
A festive and happy time filled with fireworks, parades picnics, ball games, family time.
Yet, I am concerned that our Freedom might be fading.

Has God impressed on your heart something special this week?
Was there a Scripture verse, a song, a quote, a poem or an encouraging word that came your way and caused you to pause.
I’d love for you to share.

My Valentines
After the Rain
Right after heavy rains, the front went through and the sky
The sun shown down and caused glistening raindrops
glowing golden leaves
vivid orange mums
and multicolored maples
~No wonder autumn is a favorite season for so many~
Autumn is youthful, mirthful, frolicsome ~ the child of summer’s joy ~ and
on every side there are suggestions of juvenility and mischief.
on every side there are suggestions of juvenility and mischief.
While spring is a careful artist who paints each flower
with delicate workmanship,
autumn flings whole pots of paint about in wild carelessness.
The crimson and scarlet colours reserved for roses and tulips are
splashed on the brambles till every bush is aflame, and the
old creeper-covered house blushes like a sunset.

Busy Days Creating a New Garden Berm
We have had so much on our plate lately.
Last Saturday I photographed a wedding
(I will share a few photos soon).
(I will share a few photos soon).
Then I spent several days editing the photos.
Wednesday we had a (really fun) cookout to finish up our weekly
Community Group Bible study for the summer.
Community Group Bible study for the summer.
Thursday evening we had Aldara and her mom (visiting from Spain) for dinner.
Friday we had a truckload of dirt delivered so that
today we could spent all day working in the yard.
We began this project in mid-April thinking it would
take just a few days.
I hope to divide plants throughout the yard to fill this new berm and finally get it finished this weekend.
Raider kept an eye on every move I made.
Poor little guy is way overdue for his grooming appointment.
I’ll just add that to my list of things to do!
