“Only take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your children’s children– how on the day that you stood before the LORD your God at Horeb, the LORD said to me, ‘Gather the people to me, that I may let them hear my words, so that they may learn to fear me all the days that they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children so.’
Was there a Scripture verse, a song, a quote, a poem or an encouraging word that came your way and caused you to pause.
I’d love for you to share.

Yesterday was my third Father's Day without my dad and I miss him more each year. I realize that his life and the kind of man he was has blessed me more than I can imagine. I thank my Heavenly Father for him each dad. Thanks for such a sweet, heartfelt, post.

I love seeing the group of fathers in your life…but even more, I love reading the Words of Life that you have posted today. Such encouraging and challenging Scriptures!
(We are having some problems with our internet server. I tried several times last night to link to "Think On These Things" but with no success…I thought…so I didn't add your button to my post. But when I had a comment this morning from someone new to me, I came back and saw that, indeed, the link had posted! So now I'm officially joining the party! Thank you so much for hosting!)

Beautiful post! My dad wasn't a Christian and I don't know where he stood before God when he died but I do hope he made peace with God in his last moments. I miss him dreadfully (even after almost 30 years). He was a father who gave everything he had for his wife and family.

This will be my 18th year without my Dad. I still miss him so much, especially since Mom has been so sick. But, I wouldn't have wanted him to see her this way. God is so good…even during those tough times!!! Happy Father's Day to the men in your life!!!

A lovely Father's Day post, Lorraine. I like the collage; through your blog I have become familiar with all the "dads" in your family. These are wonderful scripture passages you have shared on this special weekend. John has shingles and is in terrible pain so I did not post a father's day tribute – but I did put a small collage honoring my dad on my sidebar. Blessings to you and each member of your family this weekend.
