Nesting

By Lorraine

I watched as a pair of sparrows flitted about this lantern on the patio and wasn't surprised when I saw a couple of days later they had built a nest atop the candle in the holder.  I think she found a perfect nesting home for her young.

Nesting

Hope
by Emily Dickinson

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune–without the words,
And never stops at all,
And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.
I’ve heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

    Sweet image and a poem to make one think good thoughts.
    This week? There were many blessings, but the most surprising and most-appreciated was the prayer on my blog from a blogger I've never met, but have come to know through this lovely medium.
