What Is a PET?

By Lorraine

Pet owners know the love and companionship given so freely from our pets. Read the sweet, What is a Pet poem highlighting the antics and qualities pets bring to our lives.

What is a pet? Sometimes he is most resourceful. I don’t know how he managed it, but this is how I found my pillow-loving pup. Hearing a rustle while working at my computer, I turned around to see Raider, my miniature Schnauzer, in this unique position.

Pet owners know the love and companionship given so freely from our pets. Read the sweet, What is a Pet poem highlighting the antics and qualities pets bring to our lives.

What Is a PET?

A pet is a playmate, partner, a pleasure
Who brighten your life from the start-
A lovable, laughable, huggable treasure
Who wins a warm place in your heart.
A pet is a jester, a trickster, a tease
Who’s always prepared to perform-
A pouncer, a bounder, a fetcher, a pleaser
Whose greeting is welcome and warm.
A pet is a blessing for so many reasons,
A gift of delight that endures-
A faithful companion, a friend for all seasons
Whose home, now and always, is yours!By Mary Catherine Shannon

Well, how cute is that!?! He looks pretty darned comfortable to me! We used to have a miniature poodle that I called Dead Dog because she would lay in such awkward positions and you had to really nudge her to get her to respond if she was sleeping heavily. I used to think she had died about half the time~ xo Diana

It's a moment like that – the smile or laugh that your Pet teases out of you, unknowingly – that is the magic of the relationship. Such a cute photo of a funny moment!

How cute and sweet! We always had a dog when I was growing up. However, my husband has such allergies so we can't have one in our home. So I visit my mother-in-law and her Cocker Spaniel Barney. He is so sweet and loves to lick and hug me. 🙂

    Blessings and love,
    Debbie

This is so sweet! He looks so adorable lying there! We had a cat once that would empty the tissue box and put the tissues in the bathroom sink and lay in the sink in his little bed. Enjoy you day!
