Inspiration abounds on Pinterest! You have probably seen these adorable little Easter Peep Graham Cracker Houses. I visited Yesterfood to see how Joy made them. A sweet Easter table decoration and a fun after-dinner treat for the kids. So fun, that one little guy determined he was NOT willing to share.

Family Moments
Jill came down from upstate New York to participate in The Love Run Philadelphia Half Marathon with her twin sister and a good friend, Megan.

Jamie and Jill before the run on a brisk morning
Finished!
The boys stayed at Jamie’s house and the girls stayed at my house. After making the bunny cake, they dyed Easter Eggs…
experimented with the colors…
and techniques…
admired their creations…
then promptly decided to eat their masterpieces!
someone liked them…
someone didn’t
I went to my computer for a time while the girls played all about the house. I heard them scampering in and out of the garage, upstairs and down. They yelled to me they were playing dress-up. This is what I found! Quite an able crew, don’t you think!
Then popcorn and a movie before bed
after all that baking and cleaning it’s hard for wee ones to stay awake
Earlier this month, our oldest grandson was inducted into the Latin Honor Society. After the ceremony, we had a fun dinner at a nearby restaurant.
{ah, how I love this young man}
Easter Bunny Cake
This adorable bunny cake is pretty and a really fun project to do with kids. My little granddaughters did all of the decorating themselves in less than 30 minutes. After baking, I cut the layers in half and stood them up on the cut side after they added some frosting. Then I cut the notches and let them go to town decorating.Continue Reading
Crochet Humpty Dumpty Egg
This happy little Crochet Humpty Dumpty Egg is made using a modified version of my Easter Egg pattern. He certainly doesn’t fit in to an Easter decorating theme, but he does make a cute baby toy, baby shower decoration or gift topper.
Easter Egg Braided Yeast Bread
Colorful eggs nestled in soft, sweet bread with a white glaze is what we love for Easter Sunday breakfast. I post this pretty Easter egg braided yeast bread with dyed eggs each year because it is an Easter tradition in our home.
Baked Sweet Potatoes
Baked sweet potatoes are simple * delicious * nutritious! I can make a meal of a single baked sweet potato. Oh, when the sugars ooze from the cuts in the skin, I know they are just perfect. Cut open and give a squeeze to fluff, then top with a little butter, salt and (lots of) pepper and sprinkle of brown sugar. So delicious and satisfying. I love the skins too!
Happy Easter Day!

Home Style Split Pea Soup
After a holiday meal when ham is served, I usually make soup. But if that doesn’t work, I make sure to pop the ham bone into a freezer-safe bag and toss it into the freezer. That ham bone is later used to make a delicious pot of home-style split pea soup. An easy recipe using either dry yellow or green split peas with carrots, onion and celery that is nutritious and budget-friendly.

My New Favorite Fettuccine Alfredo Recipe
I recently saw Lidia Bastianich prepare Fettuccine Alfredo using just a few ingredients. Although I already have a favorite recipe, I know it is high in calories. I made this version lighter and love how quickly it comes together as the pasta is cooking. Don’t be afraid to use the sage ~ it infuses just a hint of flavor.
Sage-infused Fettuccine Alfredo is an easy recipe for a lighter, healthier version of Fettuccine Alfredo. Serve with a crisp salad or topped with grilled chicken for a lovely Easter dinner, romantic Valentine’s Day or whenever you want a special pasta meal.Continue Reading
